Friday Build - Player Shop

I think I am a Minecrafter, therefore I am!

  Greetings once again fellow crafters!  Today, I have a special build.  The reason it's special is because I never had the opportunity to build this as a functioning store!  I had the idea on an older server I played one and constructed in a creative world.  I've kept it around because I really liked the design, simple and industrial.  I hope you enjoy!

  According to Bebop Vox, Sony has announced it will be throwing it's weight into the Minecraft arena!  One of the best selling PC games being offered can only be good news for both Mojang and Sony.  With sales of Minecraft being in the millions, I'm glad that more people will get to experience Minecraft.

Greetings!

   Today's post has a bit of a special meaning for me!  I'd like to present to you a successful YouTuber, Cube Turtle.  I came across Cube Turtle's channel because she actually hold a YouTube rank on my server, OmniKraft.  One of her recent videos is a speed art of me!  I was surprised, flattered and honored by this, so to repay the favor, I'm helping to spread the word of her channel!

News on Minecraft 1.7

Hello Minecrafters!

   For those who aren't in the know, there has been some information leaked on the upcoming 1.7 release!  Not a lot of info yet, but some interesting tidbits.

    First, it looks like we're getting a new flower, Sunflowers!  According to Jeb, sunflowers will help with direction finding as they'll always be facing east.

    Second, some new biomes will be added.  I have to say I like this.  It's nice to have some more variety in the game.  Personally, having the mod Extra Biomes.  There are some very nice ones in this mod.

    There will supposedly be Cherry Trees as well.  One thing I'd like changed in Minecraft is the minecarts.  It would be so nice to be able to link them together.  Why hasn't it happened yet?  Anywho, stay tuned as I'll release new info as it's available.

In the mean time, keep mining and crafting!

The Friday Build - PvP Arena

So nice to see you again!

    I've decided to make it a regular "series" to post builds either I have done or ones others have done on Fridays.  Get your creativity going for the weekend!  The build I have for you today is one I recently uploaded to Planet Minecraft.

    It is a PvP Arena that was featured on a previous server I helped run.  I can't remember the name of the staff member who built it, but I saved it and made some tweaks for my new server, OmniKraft.  I use it for the PvP_Arena minigame, and it's setup with 20 spawn points.  In the center of the arena is a beacon with a heal boost.  The center is high risk / high reward.

Super Mario 3D Craft - V 0.5 Released

Great news!

   TheBeast0911 and myself have recently released V 0.5 of Super Mario 3D Craft!  A couple more stages have been added and we're working hard on release a "Commentary" version of the map, just for kicks!

Update Notes:

  > Added two new courses to the second floor.
  > Added secret stars around the hub.
  > Removed Ender Pearls due to players cheating with them.
  > Added minor details and fixed earlier levels.

Snow Spleef Arena

Welcome!

   My project for this Friday is my Snow Spleef Arena.  This is a modification of my Death Spleef Arena.  I re-colored as well as replaced the wool with snow.  The arena itself is suspended in air by two huge zeppelins.

    At their big conference, Google announced the launch of Google Play Games.  This offers some great benefits for those that get into it.  For those who want a little nostalgia to go with this, the developers included a sweet achievement.  Using the Konami Code in the app will give you a free achievement.

Featured Animator

Greetings fellow Minecrafters!

    As you know, I am a hardcore fan of Minecraft.  Not only do I play the game, I run two servers.  The public server being OmniKraft, and a private server for building with friends.  Past that, I love enjoying media involving Minecraft.  Videos, art, music, whatever!  Well, I came a across a video on the YouTubez of a great channel, Slamacow Creations.

    Slamacow is a great artist and has some awesome videos up.  While normally it would be quite difficult for me to pick a favorite, hands down, mine is "Battle of the Bids".  Anything that has my favorite classical song, "In the Hall of the Mountain King" is #1 in my book.  I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.

The Lighthouse 2

Greetings!

    My apologies for not having this out Friday as expected.  I won't bore you with the details but will get right into what you've been waiting for. Here is the second lighthouse that I was able to recover.  This one was built for a Survival Games Map, which is why the interior of the tower is the way it is.  This is probably the best interior design I've ever done, don't judge me!
