A Halloween Story

It was a dark and stormy night...

   All Hallow's Eve is almost upon us!  For many, it's a time to dress up as something scary or fun, getting lots of candy and having a sugar rush.  For others, it means parties and costume contests.  Few recognize the roots of Halloween, if you are one that doesn't know the history of Halloween, click here. 

   While I'm not bringing you any Minecraft news today, I did want to take the opportunity while I have your attention of something I have been working on for the occasion, a story.  Throughout the day tomorrow, parts of a story will be released that I have been working on.  Please subscribe to my blog or follow my Twitter (@_Kryptix) so you'll know when the parts are released.

The Story Project

Hello everyone!

   I wanted to provide you with an update with the story.  I've decided to start posting updates twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday.  Our unnamed character discovers just how dangerous it is to be out at night in the world of Minecraft.  Please leave comments below on how you feel the story is progressing as well as any support you'd like to provide.  You can view the story here.

 My breathing becomes shallow and fast as fear grips my being.  My eyes staring back into soulless, blank orbs.  The stench of death overwhelms as this rotting creature stumbles closer.  I'm paralyzed, not even the thought of safety passes through my mind.  Without warning, an arrow whizzes by and embeds itself into a nearby tree, inches from my head.  "Run, you fool!" rings through my head.

A New Project

   Hello everyone!  I've had a sudden urge to start up a new project.  At certain times in my life, I have been struck by this urge, an urge to write a story.  Two previous stories I wrote were for another game I play, Spiral Knights.  The first one was for the guild I help manage, Mitternacht, titled The Darkness of Cradle.  The second one I wrote started as an entry for a contest, this one titled The Guardian Lost.

   This brings me to the story I've started.  The writing style I take is a unique, as far as I can tell.  I prefer to write my stories a paragraph at a time.  Every Sunday, I will post a paragraph that continues the story.  You can follow the progress here on my blog, or you can visit my new blog which will host the story.  If you would to support my story, please use this link.  I hope you enjoy my story and will support my new project.  Thank you.

Awakened

The weariness begins to fade as the warmth from the sun washes over me.  I manage to push myself onto my feet this time, on unsteady legs... The suns rays beam down on a beautiful prairie, full of animals and flowers.  "Where am I?" I think to myself.
